Dax Riggs - Say Goodnight to the World (2010)

We ought to say a lot of things about this person, Dax Riggs, who with his voice and his utterly emotional songs has given us the chance to take some magical trips in his fairytale-like world. Dax Riggs is a man who kept that emotional side through all his musical changes, as even back to Golgotha this bluesy voice could attract us through the demos of low sound quality.
Sludge, punk, bluesy-rock and whatever this man did, from the drafts of the Daisyhead and the Mooncrickets to his ultimate thrive in Acid Bath, all his songs are magical and all his lyrics diamonds that should add "color" to your music.
Say Goodnight to the World is Dax Riggs' last album and, in my opinion, his most well-done work through his bluesy-rock years. From the first second to the last you will be attached to the mood of this album, that focuses on a gloomy (bluesy) feeling, which could fit best listening to it while raining or in a foggy autumn morning.
See you all in hell or New Orleans is a song-trademark for this album, a song that expresses specifically the mood that the album is focused on. However, every song, one after another will give you a moment of deep thoughts and calm, as the lyrics are going to smooth your heart and, if in the mood, bring tears in your eyes.
Say Goodnight to the World is hell of an album that I suggest to everyone checking it out without second thought. It sure is some great material by a great musician!
Support Dax if you like his material by buying his albums and if you are that lucky go see him live. If you get an experience like this...please share it with me!
