Elder is one more new band that I put all my hopes on for the successful perpetuation of the metal genre. With a heavy stoner/doom sound and some traces of psychedelia, coming from Fairhaven, Massachusetts, these guys arrived with a surely bright future, as they already gave us the idea about what follows by releasing the EP Spires Burn/Release few months ago. About Dead Roots Stirring, the connection between the songs is astonishing and the riffs magical, as by just listening to the first song (that its riffs are more than fascinating) you're gonna end up having listened to the whole album...more than once! It's a band worth promoting and if you would ask me, I would surely put them in my top 10 band list.
